Brief Profile:
Canadian applicant. Did undergrad in the US. Standard activities. Some laundry list of activities with a couple I was really into. Studied abroad during junior year and played in an intercollegiate sport (club). Do stuff you really enjoy during college instead of doing things to fill up resume (I did a bit of that). College is difficult as it is so you should use and need the extracurricular to destress.

Summary of Application Experience
Numbers appear to be important. But don't get too stressed out about it. If you really want to be a doc, you will (whether through the MD route in the US or other routes elsewhere; or take time off to do research; or take post-bac classes to pull GPA up).
Some said I applied to too many schools. I thought it was alright. You never know!
Lastly, don't take the application process too personal. Many friends of mine automatically cross some schools out after they waitlisted them. However, some of these schools might be better fit for them than the schools who accepted them outright! However, ego gets bruised and judgement becomes muddy. Think carefully about finance, city and other important factors. Don't let the admissions office cloud your mind.
Good luck!
