6/28/10 - I have gone though many revisions of my personal statement. I finally have it where I want it. I got my MCAT scores back last week (PS - 9, VR - 8, BS - 9, 26R), I am not happy with them, so I will retake on 8/13/10. I have got all of my letters of recommendation in with the exception of my committee letter. I submitted my application for my committee letter tonight. All of my transcripts have been received by AMCAS. I plan to submit my application in the next day or two.
7/1/10 - Submitted my AMCAS application. It has been moved to \"Ready for Review\" status.
7/2/10 - Received George Washington University Secondary
7/5/10 - I added a few schools and then resubmitted my application. Schools added: Oakland, EVMS, South Carolina, MC Wisconsin, and Colorado.
7/6/10 - Received Marshall University secondary
7/20/10 - Received UK secondary
7/22/10 - Received Arkansas secondary. MY APPLICATION IS VERIFIED!!!
7/23/10 - Received secondaries from: MC Wisconsin, Rush, Saint Louis, and Kansas. Submitted secondaries for: MC Wisconsin and Saint Louis.
7/24/10 - Mailed in secondaries from Arkansas and George Washington.
7/26/10 - Submitted secondary for UK. Received secondaries from: Illinois, Tulane, and Creighton
7/27/10 - Received and submitted secondary for Medical University of South Carolina. Received pre-screen for a secondary from Missouri since I am out of state. Put on hold for West Virginia until I receive my MCAT scores.
7/28/10 - Received Virginia Commonwealth secondary. Put on hold by Louisville until I receive my MCAT scores.
7/31/10 - Submitted Virginia Commonwealth secondary.
8/1/10 - Submitted Creighton secondary.
8/2/10 - Received and submitted South Carolina secondary.
8/3/10 - All letters of recommendation have finally been submitted to AMCAS.
8/4/10 - Submitted Illinois secondary. Received EVMS secondary, they encouraged me to go ahead and submit my application, but I will be on hold while waiting on MCAT scores.
8/5/10 - Received Colorado secondary.
8/6/10 - Received Oakland secondary.
8/8/10 - Received my first rejection today, knew it was coming sooner or later. I was hoping schools would wait to see my second MCAT scores. Rejected by University of Missouri-Columbia.
8/13/10 - Retook the MCAT today, hoping for better results. Now the wait begins. Romans 8:28.
8/17/10 - Submitted Colorado secondary.
8/20/10 - Received Alabama secondary. Received interview invite from the University of Kentucky for the Rural Physician Leadership Program (RPLP).
8/21/10 - Submitted Tulane and Rush secondaries. Completed EVMS secondary will mail on 8/23/10.
9/14/10 - Received MCAT score (PS - 10, VR - 9, BS - 11, 30Q). Hopefully with improved scores, I will receive more interviews.
9/20/10 - Submitted Marshall University secondary.
9/21/10 - Received West Virginia secondary.
9/24/10 - Received University of Louisville secondary.
9/25/10 - Submitted University of Louisville secondary.
9/29/10 - Small-pooled for MC Wisconsin. I have also been small-pooled for Virginia Commonwealth, but do not remember the date.
10/1/10 - Interview invite from the University of Louisville. Received Trover application (Louisville Rural Campus).
10/3/10 - Submitted WVU application. Submitted Trover application.
10/4/10 - Withdrew from Alabama.
10/11/10 - University of Louisville Trover Campus interview invite for 10/26.
10/14/10 - Withdrew from Oakland and Kansas.
10/18 and 10/19 - Attended interview at Morehead and Lexington for the UK RPLP. Should find out something next Friday.
10/22 - Rejected by George Washington
10/26 - Attended interview at Trover Campus (Louisville Rural Program)
10/28 - Attended interview at Louisville. ACCEPTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY AND THEIR RURAL PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM!!! I AM GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!!!
10/29 - Rejected by Tulane. Withdrew from MC Arkansas, Creighton, MUSC, Rush, Saint Louis University, Illinois, VCU, West Virginia, EVMS, South Carolina, and Colorado.
11/9 - Withdrew from Marshall.
11/10 - ACCEPTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE AND TROVER PROGRAM!!!
1/10 - I will be going to the University of Kentucky and participating in their Rural Physician Leadership Program.
