Brief Profile:
Double majored in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology.
Have been working as a CNA in a nursing home since Jan 09. As of 12/14/09, have 1300+ hours there
Did some random volunteer stuff...nothing too significant. I regret not doing more, but I didn\'t have the motivation nor time to do it. Volunteered in a hospital for a few months, did volunteer tutoring for a few months.
Worked as a research assistant in a psych lab for a year.
Shadowed 3 different doctors for a total of like 25 hours
Was in a few different clubs for significant amounts of time during college. Never held officer positions though, until recently. This fall I was appointed secretary of a new org at my school that we are working to get off the ground.
Was on the Dean\'s list for all but one semester.
Also a part of a variety of honors societies.
Have some unique family situations, but I\'m not going into detail about it because I don\'t want to make this blatantly obvious who I am...

Summary of Application Experience
This is the most hellish thing I\'ve ever been through. I submitted late because of all kinds of issues I was having about whether or not I wanted to/could afford to/would be able to get in to medical school. I ultimately decided that it was worth a try. I regret submitting late because now I\'m waiting a lot...and I\'m extremely impatient for this kind of waiting. I don\'t remember when exactly I submitted my AMCAS, but I was verified on 09/15/09.

Applying for combined PhD/MSTP? No
Submitted: Yes
Secondary Completed: No
Interview Invite: No
Interview Attended: No
Waitlisted: No
Accepted: No
Rejected: No
Summary of Experience:
12/14 - I submitted the primary here, didn\'t hear a peep from them until mid-Oct and assumed a silent rejection. Then I got their secondary and was going to apply, but then decided that I didn\'t have the energy to crank out that many essays, nor did I really want to go to Chicago, so I just never turned in the secondary. $31 down the drain...
Summary of Experience:
12/14 - This is another one of those \"$31 down the drain\" schools. Got burnt out on writing essays and just couldn\'t decide what a \"Life of diversity\" or whatever the hell their motto is, meant to me. The deadline for the app is 12/15, and I\'m not submitting it.
Summary of Experience:
04/15 - rejected pre-interview via email 12/14 - I was complete on 10/5 when my LORs were received. Still haven\'t heard anything from them...
Summary of Experience:
5/03 - Decided to check my status page and found out I was rejected...finally. 2/26 - Got the \"We\'ll re-evaluate your application later in the cycle\" status. Oh well...didn\'t really wanna go here anyway... 12/14 - been complete since 11/11 because they screwed up my FAP waiver. I had to email it to them twice, and then email and ask if they ever got it. Then on 11/11 my status changed to complete with the fee waiver received. This angers me because I would have been complete when my LORs were received on 10/8. Oh well, what can you do...still no word from them.
Summary of Experience:
My first rejection! But I totally wasn\'t surprised by this...I knew my stats weren\'t really good enough for here, but I applied anyway because there was no secondary. haha...oh well, I didn\'t want to live in MN anyway. Too freakin cold!
Summary of Experience:
3/15 - rejected via status page. 12/14 - complete when LORs were received. Have been in the small pool for interview invites since the beginning of Nov. I\'d love to get an invite here. One of my best friends moved up near the school and says it\'s great there, so I\'m hoping to at least interview there and see the area.
Summary of Experience:
3/30 - rejected pre-interview via email. 12/14 - complete in early Oct when LORs were received. Still haven\'t heard anything from them. Sent them an email mid Nov asking about status, got a reply last week saying I was still under review.
Summary of Experience:
2/17 - apparently I was in an interview pool, but they ran out of interview spots. To me, that\'s just a nicer way of saying you were at the bottom of our list. Oh well, I\'m not disappointed by this one. 12/14 - still waiting to here from them.
Summary of Experience:
2/27 - Rejected via snail mail pre-interview. Oh well... 12/14 - kind of late submission of this one, but the essay was easy so I did it before some of the others that were submitted even later. Haven\'t heard anything from them yet...
Summary of Experience:
2/27 - Rejected via email pre-interview. Kinda bummed. I at least wanted to see the school. I\'ll get over it though... 12/14 - current status says I\'m eligible for interview. Submitted late because of the burnout I went through. Forced myself to finish this one because it\'s a state school that I have more of a chance of getting into. Haven\'t heard anything yet.
Summary of Experience:
5/06 - rejected via email today. 1/4 - noticed on my status page that I was complete as of this date. Now the wait begins to see if I get an invite. 12/14 - I don\'t know what came over me, and I know it\'s waaaaay late in the game, but something told me to add this school at the last minute, so I did today. Hopefully I get the secondary soon, which is essentially nothing and I can get it turned in the same day. My gut will probably prove to be wrong, but I figured with a secondary deadline of Jan 31, I may still have a chance. Could just be wishful thinking...
Summary of Experience:
4/7 - got invited for an interview on April 19th, but I wouldn\'t go here over USF, so I withdrew. 12/14 - I sat on this secondary for a long time because I was burnt out on writing essays and I don\'t really want to go here, but I figured I might as well submit it and see what happens. No word from them yet.
Summary of Experience:
2/8 - got re-reviewed and put on the Accepted/Alternate list! Exciting, yet disappointing since SO many people are on that list. I really don\'t know how much of a chance I actually have of getting off that list. I know the list moves fast, but...I don\'t know. We\'ll see what happens I guess. 12/14 - this was my very first interview invite and interview. I was extremely nervous and really had no idea what to expect. I think it went OK, but I look back and kick myself for some of my stupid answers. I was put in the Final Pool on 12/11. I\'m hoping that when they re-review I\'ll get an acceptance...I really liked the school and their curriculum.
Summary of Experience:
3/13 - Received a letter in the mail...waitlisted. 12/14 - My second interview invite!! Very exciting! I scheduled it for 2/18 (earliest available). I\'m most excited to see snow for the first time. Haha, sad, I know...I\'ve also heard great things about the school and it looks impressive, so I\'m looking forward to learning more. Hopefully this interview goes a little more smoothly than my FIU one did...
Summary of Experience:
4/27 - put on the alternate list. 3/4 - got put on hold...totally expected this too. And I don\'t expect to be accepted, but we\'ll see. I don\'t think I\'d go here over USF though. I didn\'t get a good vibe there... 2/17 - Got an interview invite on the 15th! Totally came out of left field and definitely WASN\'T expecting one! Scheduled for 2/26. 12/14 - I wasn\'t originally going to apply here because of their Biochem requirement, but my friend pointed out that I could get around it, so I added it later than my other schools. I submitted the secondary app mid-Oct, but my douchebag friend who wrote my peer LOR freakin forgot to email it to the committee. He didn\'t send it until 11/7. Needless to say I was pissed at him for quite some time. As of today, I haven\'t heard anything from them...
Summary of Experience:
3/1 - I GOT ACCEPTED!!!! I\'m soooo excited! This is my top choice, so I\'m definitely going here! YAY!!! =) 1/7 - got an interview invite! Calling tomorrow after work to set it up since they were closed by the time I got the email today. YES! =) 12/14 - stupid me left the one app that should have been done first for one of the last ones. Again, burnout affected submission. I regret doing this because ultimately THIS is where I want to go to medical school. If they accept me, I will withdraw from everywhere else. I\'d love to stay here. It would make my life so much easier. And plus, one of my best friends is going here next fall. Hopefully I hear from them soon!
