6/1 received MCAT score- didn\'t do well; will be retaking it on july 29th. 6/7 AACOMAS received transcripts 6/10 submitted AACOMAS and am applying as disadvantaged student 6/16 AACOMAS verified! wow, that was quick.
7/1 opened virtual eval account for LORs (will be sending a packet of 5 letters to each school) 7/8 received 7 of 11 secondaries: SOMA, KCOM, LECOM-B, LECOM-E, AZCOM, TOURO-CA, NSU submitted: KCOM, LECOM-E, AZCOM, TOURO-CA, SOMA, NSU (not submitting LECOM-B). status pending: VCOM, PNWU 7/13 finally received WesternU/COMP\'s secondary! for a minute i thought i was screened out, phew! will fill it out and submit it within the next 3 days. 7/15 rescheduled for Aug 5th MCAT; don\'t feel ready yet... so much is riding on this!!
8/07 took the 8/5 MCAT. it was pretty hard, but I feel a bit better coming out of this one than the test on 5/1. if i can get a 28 i\'d consider it successful. haha! meanwhile, life is back on track and i\'m catching up on secondaries, internship projects, etc. =) 8/08 submitted WesternU/COMP\'s secondary; decided not to submit WesternU/OR secondary
9/2 OMG i got an interview invite email from Touro-CA even before the release of my new MCAT score!! i\'m so excited because this is definitely one of my top choice schools (along with NSU, COMP, and SOMA). 9/7 received my new mcat score: 27M... writing score stayed the same. i\'m ok with a 27, but i would have really liked a 28+. of course i\'d receive a score that\'s ONE point below what i want. i don\'t feel too good about it, especially it being so late in the cycle.... 9/14 updated TOURO-CA file to include new MCAT score for interview; updated WesternU/COMP with new MCAT. 9/15 LECOM-E online status changed to: admissions committee has made a decision, you will be receiving an official mail in 30 days. BOOOO, no interview invite email + \"official\" snail mail = rejection. saaaad. 9/20 received LECOM-E\'s rejection letter; i\'m starting to regret that i didn\'t apply to more schools.
10/5 interview at TOURO-CA 10/8 waitlist status at TOURO-CA 10/12 added 9 more schools: CCOM, DMU, KCUMB, NYCOM, RVUCOM, TOURO-NY, TOURO-NV, UMDNJ, WCU 10/19 received and submitted secondaries for: CCOM, DMU, RVUCOM, TOURO-NY, UMDNJ received WesternU interview invite for 10/30th!!! 10/21 received KCOM interview invite! scheduled for 11/11 10/27 received TOURO-NY interview invite. scheduled for 1/19 10/30 interviewed at WesternU, loved it! I sincerely hope it went as well as I think.
11/6 received and submitted TOURO-NV secondary; also mailed in thank yous for Western U interview 11/11 interviewed at KCOM, i was very impressed with the facilities and faculty! came home and received interview invite to KCUMB. Missouri loves me! 11/18 received a missed call from KCOM\'s admissions staff yesterday and was woken up this morning with an acceptance call! so incredibly happy right now! i loved the atmosphere and facilities! will be cancelling my Touro-NY and KCUMB interviews. Now I\'m just waiting to hear back from WesternU/COMP....
12/6 it\'s my birthday and guess what FINALLY came in the mail? my WesternU/COMP acceptance letter! WOOOO, happy birthday to me! 12/8 emailed KCOM to decline their acceptance offer and sent in my deposit and req\' forms to WesternU/COMP. yayyyy, WesternU/COMP class of 2015!
THIS APPLICATION CYCLE IS FINALLY OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i thank my lucky stars every day that i received both the AACOMAS and AMCAS fee waivers. the fee waivers saved me a BUTT LOAD of $$ when it came to: taking 2 MCAT exams, AACOMAS primary app fees, and individual secondary fees (all waived except for NSUCOM and LECOM-E). Also, 2 of my first 3 interviews were in state (CA) so it didn\'t cost too much to attend those interviews.
good luck to those still interviewing/ deciding, and best wishes to future applicants!
