Brief Profile:
I tried to apply broadly but only to places I would want to go. I\'m sitting on several applications because I\'ve been running up my credit card and have no money to pay it off. I have applied to a few reach schools, but luckily half of them reject you before you pay the secondary fee. My stats aren\'t the best, but I have some excellent EC\'s and am a nontraditional applicant.

Summary of Application Experience
I didn\'t take a prep course for the MCAT--I couldn\'t afford it at the time, but if I had to do it all over again I would. I would just put the debt on a credit card--with the money I could have possibly gotten with a scholarship, it would have been worth the interest. I\'ve spent about $1500 with prep materials, apps, and interviews thus far... If I had listened to those on SDN, I would have applied strictly DO with my stats. But I hadn\'t shadowed a DO enough to have one write a rec letter for me and I felt confident enough with my ECs to be equally competitive, so I just went the MD route. Lo and behold I\'ve been receiving interviews even with my subpar stats, so I think one should apply with whatever schools they feel comfortable.
Summary of Experience:
Interview invite came too late. Had already spent too much travelling already. Besides I had heard some negative things about their program.
Summary of Experience:
Interview invite came too late. Had they invited me sooner, I would\'ve been stoked, but now I\'m saving for school, so I don\'t have money to waste on a \"possible\" acceptance.
Summary of Experience:
Loved this school. This would be my first-choice if I wasn\'t factoring cost. Students seemed the happiest out of all the students I\'ve met.
