  • Brief Profile: Edit: I have had a wonderful medical school experience and am now applying to Psychiatry residency programs :)

I made this profile when I was applying to medical school, and I only just remembered some of the stories/mishaps below...

    1) Wash. U. St. Louis interview: When the Dean of Admissions showed up to interview me 20 minutes late, I said, "You're late, sir. You only have one chance to make a first impression and you are late." I was having a bad day, and luckily he had a quality sense of humor. When he asked me if I had any interest in doing a PhD along with the MD, I responded, "Absolutely not."

    2) Pritzker interview: I stepped on a giant grate outside and wrecked the heel on my shoe. I attended my faculty interview with a broken shoe, and then lost my cell phone on the way to the airport.

    3) Cornell interview: While sitting in the interview room with all the other interviewees, I noticed something on the table in front of me. Inexplicably, it was fresh bird poop.

    4) Columbia interview: After my faculty member finished interviewing me, I let down my guard and, before I could stop myself, I asked how I did on my interview. He said, "Well, nobody has ever asked me that before. I guess I can tell you."

    5) Hopkins interview: In a letter from my student interviewer that I received after being accepted, he told me that I was the only applicant in history to swear not once, but twice, during my interview and still receive an acceptance.

    6) Harvard interview: When the interviewer asked me, "Is there anything else I should let the committee know?" I responded, "Yes. I'm not a sociopath."

In conclusion, I need to get a life. Cheers!
