    Summary of Application Experience

Just from the beginning, I petitioned God in prayer regarding my medical school application process -- from where to take the needed courses to MCAT to how to apply. Since I go to a community college, I do not have access to someone to guide me through the process like the committee team nor someone to review my essay. Everything I needed to know (preparation for primary applications, essays, etc.), I had to research myself. And if I didn\'t know, God provided a way. I took the MCAT once, with one year of science education under my belt (from a community college), without finishing all the required courses. I also messed up the first three semester (I had no clue I wanted to go to medical school until two years ago). But God was gracious to bring my GPA way up for the rest of my academic career. I had my first interview on 09/17/09 and was accepted on 09/18/09. That interview day, everything flowed so smoothly -- I can attest that Jesus was definitely looking out for me.

During my primary application process, I applied to 12 schools. After doing more research regarding LoRs, I dropped Einstein medical (won\'t fill out secondary) because they are not flexible with their requirements, which makes it hard for a non-trad like me. After received an acceptance from UMDNJ, I dropped all the other out of state schools. This will make interviewing MUCH less expensive. God definitely provides and I know he will continue to do so on a grander scale -- my tuition. Hudson Taylor and George Muller experienced the abundance of God\'s provision through faith and I hope to do the same.

When I received my acceptance, it felt like an anti-climax though because knowing that Jesus died on the cross for my sins so I can have fellowship with God brings me so much more joy.
