I have submitted my AMCAS application on 8/3/2009, it was confirmed/processed on 8/26/2009.
9.25.2009 - Secondaries came in almost immediately following the processing ranging from 8/5/2009-9/24/2009 receiving of those secondaries. I\'ve recieved a secondary from 15 out of 16 schools and have completed all 15 of the secondaries. Let the waiting game commense!
3.15.2010 - I\'d thought I would give a little update on everything. I got into one medical school on one interview! That\'s all I needed and I am excited to become a doctor in the coming years. The key thing in my application that I wanted to express to others in my case, LOWER THAN AVERAGE MCAT scores and ABOVE AVERAGE GPAS, is that MD medical schools are not COMPLETELY out of the picture. Understandably, I was involved in many research activities during school in the medical field and worked in a research department post-graduation so those experiences helped in my quest. My major advise for students with less than perfect applications would be not to become discouraged about application. I was very nervous about the success of my application, and rightfully should have applied to other DO and Ph.D. schools but that would have been my back up plans if things didn\'t fall through. If anyone is interested in any part of my application process, feel free to message me!
