Summary of Application Experience
I am working nearly full time, so it is really hard to get all the apps done promptly, but I\'m leaving for a family vacation soon and definitely hope I can manage all the secondaries before then. 8/8 Recognized that I have multiple typos in my UVa app. Now I\'m just hoping that: a. this didn\'t happen in my other apps, b. they don\'t notice. Sept 1st - first rejection (BU). Doesn\'t feel so terrible as I almost didn\'t even want to apply. Besides, it comes after two interview invites (Upstate and Rochester); and NY >>>Boston Sept 21st - my first interview! Syracuse looked awesome. Upstate was great. My interviews could have been a lot better... Oct 1st: good interview at NYMC, uninspiring students Oct 6th: amazing interview at NYU, and the students are SUPER happy with their choice Oct 7th: VCU decides they don\'t want me to be on hold anymore, and instead offer me an opportunity to interview (too bad I\'ve already pretty much fallen in love with another school) Oct 15th: Rochester: 1 great interview and one normal one. Love the bpsm and double helix approach. We\'ll see how they feel about me. Oct 20th: being on thee HPA list at Upstate sucks more than getting an interview invite to UVM, even though I really like the UVM curriculum, and I knew that interview #1 at Upstate wasn\'t too great Nov 11th - I\'m going to become a doctor!!!!! Thank you University of Rochester (I didn\'t even get to send them my letter of interest.) Nov 16th - large UPS envelope at home: Stony Brook acceptance! Nov 27th - NYMC waitlist - they clearly ain\'t ready for this jelly! Dec 12th - I turn 22; mom calls me to tell me that a large envelope came for me from U of Maryland, that she just had to open: Accepted! DEC 18TH - NYU ACCEPTANCE! Now I will never need to leave nyc :) Dec 23rd: what the hell am I going to do? Should I choose prestige over money? Or minimize indebtedness over prestige? There is a reason I did my undergrad at an Ivy over some other place, so why start short changing myself now? Still, maybe that\'s not the right mindset? AAGGHH this is so confusing. Dec 24th - Downstate finally extends me an interview offer. I accept it. I\'m too confused at this point to really know what I would choose, even though I continually have this feeling like UofR was a really great school, that people are going to force me to give up because it is \"too far\" and that I might not be as happy in a place that is \"that far\" and \"that cold.\" And my mom\'s biggest worry: what if G-d forbid, I choose to stay in Rochester for more than just my med school years? Yea...this process ain\'t over yet! April 21st- big day for withdrawing from schools. I could have done this a month ago, more than a month ago, but somehow giving up these spots was just too difficult to do before. (In fact, I still wrote a pretty heart-felt letter to one of the schools I withdrew from stating how sorry I was that I had to do it, because they are SO awesome.)

Summary of Experience:
Not sure why they couldn\'t at least put me on hold, or reject me or do something out of common courtesy, especially since I visited the Dean prior to applying and definitely displayed an interest in the school. Oh well, glad to know I have a spot in a much better school.
Summary of Experience:
Loved it, and the interviews went well, so we\'ll see...AMAZING feeling of relief: 11/11.....Withdrawing was HARD, such a great place!
