Summary of Application Experience
July 28, 2008: Primary submitted August 6, 2008: Verified
Rejections:
AECOM: C: 10/20/08 - Waited too long to add and complete secondary; apply early folks!
Boston: 8/26/08 (C), 8/28/08 (R) - Applied with improper English requirement, rejected immediately
Withdrawals:
Jefferson and UCLA - Didn't have right LOR requirements for Jefferson, don't know how UCLA got on my list (no desire to move down south)
Albany, GW, MSU - Favored WSU acceptance over these three
NYMC: C: 8/12/08, I: 1/21/09, W: 1/9/0 - Thought WSU had better program and clinical training
Acceptances:
WSU: C: 9/2/08, I: 10/13/08, A: 11/25/08 - Okay program in a run-down city, horrible class size, but clinical training is top-notch. Amazing hospital facilities surrounding school.
CWRU: C: 8/21/08, I: 11/10/08, A: 3/31/09 - Great facilities, opportunities for research, friendly faculty and staff. City is okay, but better than Detroit. Program, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Great match list.
Georgetown: 9/10/08, I: 11/19/08, A: 5/21/09 - Good facilities which could use a facelift, but situated in a fantastic city. Opportunities for research and public health. Great program (best of my three US acceptances) and match list (most diverse).
