Brief Profile:
1 yr research with honors thesis double major: biology & classics, math minor not much shadowing or clinical exposure lots of volunteering and TA work 2 honor societies
Overall I am a big believer in doing what I love rather than what I think will look good on an application. Hence the weird double major, which every interviewer actually ended up loving, so who knows...

Summary of Application Experience
AMCAS submitted 7/8/09, verified 7/29/09 TMDSAS submitted 7/13/09, sent 8/11/09
After my Wash U acceptance I withdrew from my other interviews - if I end up paying $40,000 a year, I may as well do it there. I didn\'t finish a lot of secondaries for the same reason, I basically stopped caring. This process really burns you out.
2/5- Accepted by Baylor, withdrew from my remaining applications & interviews. Life is good!!!! My application cycle is officially OVER!
My overall impressions -- AMCAS was a pretty big waste of money but I do think it\'s necessary to apply widely. I did severely underestimate my likelihood of getting in. I would have added some schools like JHU and Harvard that I previously didn\'t think I had a shot at.
In the end I ended up deciding between Wash U and BCM. It was a hard choice, but the cost at Wash U would have been ~$75,000 a year with living expenses, and BCM\'s in-state tuition is $6,500 a year. They both have amazing programs, but I love Houston and the people I met at Baylor were much friendlier and chill than the students at Wash U. And in the end I just couldn\'t justify the slightly better reputation of Wash U as being worth another $200,000 of debt. I felt like I was taking a gamble with BCM\'s financial instability, but once I got here I found out that it really isn\'t that big of a deal at all! I couldn\'t be happier at Baylor and I feel certain that I made the right decision for myself.

Added literally on the last day possible, disappointed but not surprised at the rejection
Summary of Experience:
This was my first interview and I enjoyed it but was not a fan of the location. Their campus is kind of run down from the hurricane
Summary of Experience:
This school is really new and amazingly nice inside. But 2 years of anatomy, plus the location so far away from home, were dealbreakers for me.
Summary of Experience:
one of my interviews did not go well - surprised at the acceptance.Took a second look in Jan, all the MS3\'s I talked to said they came to UTSW \"for the name.\" I am not a big fan of this as I don\'t want to choose based on reputation, but I chose this as my Texas match because it felt like it fit a little better than UT-H.
Summary of Experience:
great school. not sure about St. Louis, or the expensive tuition. interview went extremely well. Didn\'t get a great vibe from either the students or the admissions team... Second look was really, really fun and changed my outlook on the school a lot but not enough to overcome the cost
