RESEARCH EXPERIENCE - Lab 1: Psych; 2 years, thesis, first pub + conference + second paper to be published soon (hopefully) - Lab 2: Neuro; ~ 1 year (still going on), thesis, 1 poster + pub at end of year - Lab 3: Cardio; just started, full time, organizing & delegating (after my training i.e.), writing grants, etc. - 2 posters thus far, more coming up - peer reviewer for a journal
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE - shadowed a doctor for 4 weeks full-time (> 160 hours) - assisted in minor procedures and diagnoses - took medical histories - did minor wound treatments on my own - made stitches - helped refill an intrathecal morphine pump - electrophysiology - Doppler sonography - attended a neurological conference
VOLUNTEER / OTHER EXPERIENCE - peer tutor for three courses throughout undergrad - some volunteer work for charities (not that much though) - former varsity athlete (that was in high school though, but played that sport 5 days a week since I was 6, so that\'s still a significant part of my life); won state finals, 8th at national finals.
AWARDS / LANGUAGES / WHATEVER\'S LEFT - knowledge of four languages (2x fluent, 1 x intermediate, 1x basic) - academic awards from my home state - honoured by hometown for athletic achievements
