4/24/09-Took MCAT!
5/26/09-Received MCAT scores. Exactly what I had been scoring on practice tests. Would have liked to have done slightly better in PS, but I\'m definitly not taking it again.
6/13/09-Submitted AMCAS!!
6/25/09-AMCAS Verified!!
7/10/09-Secondaries Submitted: 4 Secondaries Received: 8 In addition, my application status at Wake Forest University says I will be receiving a secondary when the first batch is sent out in 1-2 weeks!!
Secondary season is in full swing. I\'m so happy to be receiving them so early. I\'m trying to get the secondaries in within a week of receiving them and I\'ve been focusing on one at a time, in the order in which I am getting them, in order to prevent myself from becoming overwhelmed. But I\'m really happy to be receiving so many!
Very happy to have finished Duke\'s secondary. They definitely want their applicants to be sure of their interest in the medical school before applying!
7/20/09-Secondaries Submitted: 9 Secondaries Received: 12 Interview Invites: 1 First Interview Invite Today from University of Pittsburgh!!! I am so happy to have gotten an invite!!
7/23/09-Secondaries Submitted: 11 Secondaries Received: 13 Interview Invites: 1 I finally feel like I\'m catching up with my secondaries. While I still have a couple left to do and a few more left to receive (hopefully), I am happy that the initial onslaught is over. :)
8/6/09-Secondaries Submitted: 14 Secondaries Received: 17 Interview Invites: 4!!! I\'m at the point where I can see the end of the secondary tunnel. I only have a few more left to complete, and, luckily, they are questions that I\'ve been thinking about already. I\'m so happy to have received four invites already!
8/16/09-Secondaries Submitted: 17 Secondaries Received: 17 Interview Invites: 5!!! Rejections: 1 I got an interview invite from Duke this week!! I was very very surprised, and I\'m super excited to be given the opportunity to interview there! Luckily this invite quelled the sting of my Vanderbilt rejection that came today. I liked Vandy a lot, but I\'m not heartbroken. Good luck to all of Vandy\'s applicants this cycle!! On another positive note, I\'m only waiting on one more secondary, Emory. Then, I\'ll play the waiting game for the next few months. Exciting.
9/4- Had two interviews this week with UVA and Georgetown. I really had great experiences at both of these schools and would be very grateful to get an acceptance from either of them. I\'ve also finished all of my secondaries, and received an invite from VCU this week!! The waiting is getting maddening! Already!
