    Summary of Application Experience

    6/2/09: Submitted

    6/3/09: Verified

6/9/09: Called AMCAS to make sure adding more schools at this point won't hurt my application and then added more schools

6/11/09: Was just looking over my application again and can't erase the feeling that I could have written things better. I was rushing things to submit on the very first day since everyone says it's better to apply early. But now I think of it I'd rather submit late and have very well-written application. My application looks like some 5-year-old wrote it. Sigh..

6/12/09: Started to draft secondaries.. I think I'll just write the full essay not just draft it for faster submission. Questions might change but I think it's worth completing them. I'm also SO paranoid about everything. I literally can't take my eyes off SDN and keep reading same stuff over and over again. I really hope I get at least one interview. I don't want to go through the pain of 0 interview like last year.

6/13/09: I realized today that I could have written much stronger personal essay. In retrospect, I was trying to sell myself that I have numerous different experiences but come to think of it.. it ended up looking like just blatantly listing my ECs which is already in the work/activities section. I could have just been myself?? could??ve just wrote about my life and the difficulties I??ve been though and how I endured and overcame it. That way I could have illustrated my passion for medicine more geuniely.. well.. to my assurance, there are a few schools that offer optional space that I can include any story that I missed out in the primary application.. But I doubt that secondary application carries as significant weight as the primary application. Let??s see what happens.
