Brief Profile:
Note that while my GPA isn\'t as ridiculous as everyone else\'s on SDN, it was good enough to get me Summa Cum Laude thanks to rampant grade deflation. Boston U :(
I also don\'t really see the point in anonymity -- I\'ve posted nothing here that the admission committee couldn\'t see on my application, except the other schools I applied to, which I doubt they held against me.
Awards and crap:
Awarded a half-scholarship to my school Dean\'s List all semesters Tengo la habilidad a conversar en espa?ol, pero no soy fluido.
Work/Hobbies:
Worked as an official for intramural sports (Sept 2006-May 2009) Official of the Month (three times oh boy) Promoted to supervisor (May 2009-April 2010) Participated in Edinburgh Fringe Festival (July 2006-Aug 2006) Participated in an improv comedy troupe (Sept 2006-April 2010) Participated in intramural sports and adult hockey leagues (Sept 2006-April 2010) Organized a gaming club for huge nerds like me (May 2008-Aug 2008)
Volunteer stuff:
Worked at a Norwegian Hall and cooked/waited for the homeless (December 2006, 2007, and 2008) Secretary/Webmaster for Alpha Epsilon Delta, which involves a bunch of scattered volunteer experience (January 2008-present)
Clinical experience:
1500 hours of experience as a veterinary technician - Work with animals translates to human medicine. I swear. (All breaks from school, including one spring break -_-) 200 hours of shadowing an anesthesiologist/pain management specialist (May 2008-Aug 2008) 275 hours as a research assistant working with Schedule II opioids (May 2008-Aug 2008) Lots of hours as an undergraduate researcher in a psychology lab. Worked on my own project, presented a couple of posters, submitted a paper for publication, but it never got through and I gave up. It sucks when a year of research ends with inconclusive results. (Sept 2008-March 2010)
Other:
I got a fine and a short stint of academic probation from my university for getting caught with a fake ID in October of 2008. I suppose it\'s better than actually having a criminal record, but I imagine this came back to haunt me.
