Summary of Application Experience
------Beginning of process------- Waiting for primary period to start. Ready to submit. Actual MCAT was 3-4 points lower than my average score over my 16 practice tests so I\\\'m disappointed in that. Hopefully I find more luck throughout the rest of the process! My absolute first choice would be Northwestern if finances come through. I would love to get in anywhere, though, Midwest especially. Best of luck to everyone on MDapps!
6/10: AMCAS finally verified, sGPA went up .4 and cGPA went up .1, woohoo! Thank you AMCAS! ...for once!
6/23: Let the secondaries roll in! Trying to get as many done as I can while they aren\\\'t being piled on. Feeling really good that all my LORs are already taken care of. Phew!
8/10: Done with ALL secondaries! Feels amazing. Now it\\\'s hurry up and wait for interview invites hopefully!
8/20: Woke up to Loyola and Ohio State invites! What a great morning...
1/11 ------------Near End of Cycle-------------- I\'ve met a lot of great people and seen some magnificent things along the way. It has truly been an up and down experience, but at the end of the day, I feel truly blessed for the success I\'ve had this cycle, and however the end pans out, I feel very fortunate. I\'ll update with my final decision.
3/2: Looking like Loyola vs. UChicago. I\'m writing letters to U of C and anxiously anticipating second-look at Loyola. Holding out at some other places to see what financial aid shakes out to be. Weird time where nothing\'s going on, but there are no definitive decisions yet.
7/26: I\'m at Loyola, and I absolutely love it!

Waitlisted: No
Accepted: No

Summary of Experience:
Rejected maybe because they take absolutely no APs. Hmmm oh well
Summary of Experience:
Rejected. Was my first choice going into the cycle, but gradually, other schools grew on me more. Would have been more upset, but I have been very happy and fortunate with the rest of my cycle so it\'s allllll good.
Summary of Experience:
Passed screen, but it\'s low low low. Waiting on secondary. Completed secondary, subsequently rejected-- \"taking way less OOS.\"
Summary of Experience:
Extremely excited. I love Case!
Interview day was super cool. Love the curriculum and small group sessions. Very friendly staff.
Put on hold. Told by the faculty interviewer that he\'d be highly recommending me and hit it off with the student interviewer... alas I\'m sad. Maybe with time and luck I\'ll have the opportunity!
Summary of Experience:
First invite! Top 15... gives me confidence that I could maybe succeed in applying!
Interview day was great. Definitely loved the students, faculty, and facilities!
Waitlisted. Lots of their interviewees were waitisted apparently. Hurts because I\'m OOS and it\'s harder with short notice because of my fiancee\'s job.
Decisions now pushed back to end of March/April. Really beginning to look like a withdrawal... really rubs me the wrong way : /
Summary of Experience:
Loyola is so close and I would absolutely love to go there!!
Interview day blew me away. Friendly students and they were all extremely happy. Staff was friendly and the facilities were brand new! Amazing workout facility as well! This day made it a top choice.
ACCEPTED!!! I feel so blessed. This school was amazing.
Summary of Experience:
Great state school. Excited to interview!
Interview day was very cool! The school looked and felt like a private medical school with awesome facilities and an admissions staff that cares so much about the applicants. They REALLY extend themselves for you.
ACCEPTED! Oh man, I totally loved OSU! It\'s a shame they want me to take Orgo II... but this school might be the one that\'s worth it!
Withdrew. This one is such a shame. I liked this school a TON.
Summary of Experience:
Nice school is an \"in the thick of it\" location, which is a cool feel. Nice affordable tuition and older, but still nice facilities.
Summary of Experience:
Iowa City definitely exceeded my expectations. Very quaint and very \"non-Iowa\" with hills + rivers! Excellent facilities and top-notch reputation.
Accepted!!! After being passed over the first couple of times I could have been accepted. Maybe that update letter helped...
On the fence about retaining my acceptance. Will decide in the next couple of weeks, hopefully with some fin. aid info.
Withdrew. This one\'s for the UIowa thread on SDN!
