-I have been working FT for the last 3 years (campus receptionist, and now in HR). At work I am a member of the Professional Staff Assoc.

I\'ve been fortunate to have a lot of unique experiences. I moved to AZ from Canada 5 years ago. I\'m the first college graduate in my family. My parents fled from a communist country. I was a movie extra in the beginning of college (I actually started out at the University of Toronto). I speak Chinese (cantonese), fluent in French and English (sometimes - haha). I plan to go DO because I feel the atmosphere and the learning style will fit me best.
ATSU-SOMA is really the only school I wish to attend. I have a strong desire to work in community health.

    -$225 MCAT cost
    -$100 Examkrackers

    Potential Costs:
Wig - from yanking out my hair!

The likely possibility of doing this again... need comedic relief. How high would the ocean be if sponges didn\'t exist? =)

    Summary of Application Experience

4/18/09 - took mcat. devastated. Prereqs were not finished but I had been studying since Oct 08.
4/21/09 - still upset. It's going to be a long 30 days. I'm going to lose all my hair. AHHHHHH!!
5/04/2009 - sent aacomas on 5/3. Waiting on transcripts before verification can begin. This process is agonizing. =( *crossing fingers and toes*
5/14/2009- aacomas has received my transcripts. Verification 3-6 weeks.. ughhhh. Mcat score next week. eeep! I will refrain from quoting will ferrell in Talladega Nights.
5/18/2009 - freaking out!! MCAT results released today. AHHHHH!!! *edit* or maybe not. Instead I get to freak out all over again tomorrow. yippee!
5/19/2009 - extremely disappointed in myself. 20Q. But what could I expect, I only finished 2.5 courses out of the 8 prereqs needed before I took it. (Long story) My plan: I've already paid for so much, I plan to apply to McMaster and At Still. Maybe I'll get some love...
if not I'll retake next year after all my prereqs and apply for 2011. Say a prayer for me!
6/3/2009 - finalized class schedule for fiscal yr 2010. gen chem II, ochem I, physics I, ochem II, physics II.
6/6/09 - aacomas verified (yesterday), but told the app won't be released until the middle of next week.
6/22/09 - Received my first secondary, and my heart just skips a little! I will send it back in the next day or two. Unfortunately, it requires two LORs, one of them I have but the other is a DO letter that won't be done until mid July. =( AHHH
7/17/09 - confirmed the last LOR for file completion finally sent today - hopefully I'll be complete at ATSU by next week. I have one more LOR that's just been tearing out my hair and hopefully I'll get that one next week as well. All I can do is hope to receive an interview invite.
7/20/09 - complete at ATSU... eeep. Will apply to Mac in August (they don't have a rolling admissions cycle). Cross your fingers for me...
8/14/09 - =( found out i was placed on hold until the spring when my prereqs will be finished. in many ways this is both a blessing and curse. It's a blessing because it certainly lends one hope... a curse because i know they won't review my file until the late spring - when the seats have been filled up...and if given an interview... will there be any seats left? I would have rather been interviewed and wait listed. *sigh
