Brief Profile:
I spent 2 years in southern California, full time, on a religious mission and became fluent in Spanish. I then spent close to 2 years as a medical interpreter part time at a local free clinic, where I decided to go to medical school. I wrote a basic medical Spanish text for the local chapter of the Global Medical Brigade (visiting Honduras), participated in biomedical research with a very strange Russian professor, and helped teach English to a Burmese immigrant couple. Somehow I also managed to make the Dean's list every semester for my last 2 years.
