My best advice is to actively pursue the schools you are interested, which should theoretically be all that you apply to.
Also good to know beforehand which schools have ridiculously long secondaries that you will not fill out.

Too new of a school and interview set up is a bit more radical than others. Came down to whether I wanted to buy a plane ticket and hotel or not.
