Summary of Application Experience
Right around 25 secondaries submitted; 17 interview invites. I had trouble scheduling them around school/cross country so I ended up turning some down like Pitt :(...the travel costs were piling up (coming from west coast to interview at only east coast schools).
By December I withdrew from most places that didn't give me interviews, unless they were close enough to my parents' house that I could fly home and drive to them rather than make a special trip for them.
I really liked most of the schools I interviewed at...not sure where I'll go if I don't get into Penn. USUHS has a huge military commitment when combined with NROTC, so it'll come down to UVA, VCU, Wake, Penn State, and Georgetown (on Navy HPSP Scholarship). Loved EVMS, but hated Norfolk.
I withdrew from the DO schools only because I couldn't decisively decide on one before their early deadlines, but I thought very highly of VCOM.
