First acceptance!!!! >>Ohio State: $80 - nice hospital. Rejected, but I didn\'t really feel like I would have liked it there after the interview. >>Pittsburgh: $85 - Rejected. Would have loved to interview here. >>St. Louis: $100 - Rejected. I think I would like my accepted schools better anyway. >>Virginia: $80 - Really liked it here. Everyone was very relaxed and friendly. Rejected. I loved this place so much and was not expecting this after being in the first day of interviews. Oh, well. >>Maryland: $70 - on hold as of 10/13, no offical rejection yet but they only interview through March >>Virginia Commonwealth: $80 - Nice school. I think I like Richmond. 10/14 - First acceptance came a day early. 12/16 - Yes! I can leave LA if I want to! 4/2 - Baylor will accept until about the end of the month. I want to go there so badly. 5/8 - Baylor waitlist :( Shoot me in the freaking face. 5/14 - Withdrew from VCU. LSU-NO it is. I am going to be a doctor, but the application cycle gave me too many false hopes.
Lessons Learned (so far): - Apply early. - Early interviews don\'t mean much. Sure they\'re great and you have a much better chance, but they don\'t guarantee ****. - I should have done the Texas app and applied to 90% reaches and LSU. 4 of my 6 interviews were reaches, so why not make an entire list based off dream schools? There are a lot of things I would have done differently, but whatever - I can\'t change it now.
