Summary of Application Experience
I knew from the begining that I was facing an uphill battle due to my GPA, so I tried to apply only to schools that others might find less desireable due to rankings and reputation. I'm not sure how successful this technique was as I failed to get interviews almost everywhere.
Although my failure to get interviews may be in part that I submitted my AMCAS and secondaries quite late in the process, it is most likely due to my relatively low GPA and downward trend in grades. Of course there may be other big factors I haven't noticed (like maybe my personal statement just sucked).
Basically, always keep in mind that NOTHING is for certain. You can get in at a place you never expected (KU for me) and get rejected from your 'best bet' (Mizzou). Apply early and in a wide range of schools!
