Summary of Application Experience

I applied to a lot of schools. Many of them are reaches, but all I need is a chance, right?

This process is tiring, humbling, expensive, and aggravating. After receiving several rejections, you kinda know where you stand in the process. I will try and remain hopeful through out this process.

11/19- I currently sit with 5 interviews, 4 are complete, and I will be next week on 11/24. I am 2 for 2 with acceptances/interviews, and I am awaiting to hear back from 2 schools.

4/29- Quick update. Pretty much rejected everywhere besides the places I interviewed. I would be foolish to say I am not bitter about not receiving any CA interviews. Oh well, looks like I need to get ready for 2x the adventure and come out a better person for it (unless med school takes me down).

5/15- Withdrew from RFU. It was a tough call, but Downstate had the clinical experience I was looking for (I have an inkling towards EM) despite RFU's impressive match list. The season isn't quite over, but it almost is. I would've done some things differently... but I'll get back to that later. Here's to hoping.

5/21- It's all over. Rejected from OHSU and AECOM within a week of each other. I will be matriculating to SUNY Downstate this fall. I am glad and relieved that this is all over, and I know that attending Downstate will serve a purpose beyond my knowledge. I will miss you California, but I will be back.
