Summary of Application Experience
I started out very unsure and not very confident in myself, due to my somewhat low GPA. However, after I got my goal MCAT score of 30, I felt a littl bit better, but still weary of my chances. The secondaries really weighed me down because I was trying to balance them with my senior year of undergrad, my job as a resident advisor, and trying to have a little bit of fun. When I got my first interview invite I got really excited because it made the process much more real. However, a couple days later I received my first rejection :(. So far, I have received 3 interview invites (2 DO and 1 MD) and 1 rejection, which is much better than I expected!
My words of advice, NEVER lose hope and NEVER doubt yourself if this is something that you really want to do!!! Sure there are plenty of people out there with crazy good GPA's/MCAT scores, but just remember that everything you see in the books and on the internet are AVERAGES..which means that there are people above and below those numbers. Once again, don't lose hope or give up! YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!
