Summary of Application Experience
Had a little too much fun while taking my pre-med classes freshman and sophomore year. Made up for it in the Master's in Medical Sciences program at Boston University School of Medicine (Grad GPA: 3.62 w/honors thesis). Applied first for entering fall of 2008: wait listed at BU (yet rejected for the next cycle about 3 weeks after being told there wasn't going to be any wait list movement..)
Second time around and have a couple acceptances early, which is a relief. As you can see, I had to make some serious moves to get to the point where I could be accepted somewhere. Don't ever give up if you're determined to get in - work hard, meet the right people, get involved in some sector of medicine, whether it is in research, volunteering, NPOs, legal issues, etc.
