Brief Profile:
Took 2 years off following high school. During these 2 years I professionally trained and showed American Saddlebred horses. Also taught riding lessons to children and adults. Career highlights included trips to the World and National Championships where I showed the horses that I trained. Recieved high awards at both competitions.
Work/Clinical Experience:
* Work full time as an Anesthesia Technician in OR (Will have over 4,800 hrs when I apply)
*6 mo. full time experience as Surgical Nursing Assistant
*Volunteer with 'Surgery on Sunday' a program that provides free surgery to those without health insurance (will have over 300 hrs. when I apply)
*Volunteer with Central Kentucky Ride for Hope. An equine riding program for mentally and physically handicapped children.
Other Misc. EC's:
*Responsible for training new OR volunteers.
*Surgical mission trip to Argentina scheduled for 8/09
*Avid photographer. Particularly interested in Black and White photographs. Have had photographs used as advertisements in magazines.

Summary of Application Experience
I will be applying Early Decision at the University of Kentucky in June of 2010. I believe that despite my average GPA, the rest of my application (work experience, etc) and my LORs are strong enough to go ED.
If I am not successful that cycle, then I will expand my school list in several states for the following year.
