Updates:
10/29--The last month has been pretty stressful. My admissions process started off great--three interview invitations in September. Then things seemed to hit a standstill. It was during this time I discovered SDN and realized just how crazy competitive this cycle is going to be.
10/30--My first acceptance!! It couldn't come at a better time. SLU might not have been my top choice but it's a great option and great school and I'm going to be a doctor!
10/31--Washu interview invite! Wow...not expecting this because my mcat is way below their average
11/13-Just got an interview invite to Georgetown. Very excited but just wish it was sooner than Jan.
12/3-Hit another dry spell with no new news to report. Still waiting to hear back from 10 schools and now that it's already december the stress is really setting in. This whole process has not gone as well as I had hoped...much much more competitive than I could ever imagine.
12/5-pre-interview hold at GW.
12/12-pre-interview hold at U. of Michigan. With only 100 interview invitations left, I've pretty much given up on this school. Oh well, out-of-state was a long shot I guess for my stats.
12/23-Creighton interview invite! Yay first piece of good news in over a month!
1/27-Loyola interview invite! Very surprised because I thought interview invitations were about finished. Also rejected from University of Michigan...not a big surprise, out of state was too much of a reach.
2/4-Tulane rejection. Disappointed and a little confused about this one, was hoping to have a good shot at this school and was interested in NOLA. Guess it wasn't meant to be!
2/26-Wow what a crazy week! I got a call from Loyola on Tuesday saying they liked me but the class was full. Then I got another call saying they had a spot for me!! Very excited! Loyola is one of my top choices and where I will probably be going unless I get into Vandy or get an amazing scholarship offer elsewhere.
2/28-alternative list for mizzou. I liked Loyola over mizzou but still a little sad. There goes in-state tuition.
2/28-received georgetown acceptance today as well! wow, what a shock! I was expecting the CAP, especially after the loyola and mizzou waitlist. I have some deciding to do!
3/5-Creighton acceptance! Looks like I'll be deciding between SLU, Loyola, Georgetown and Creighton...I must be meant to go to a Jesuit school!
3/25-waitlisted at washu
