  • Brief Profile: sidenote: my GPA is mediocre because I decided on medicine late. I was always a good student, just not a great one. My lowest year is a 3.0, so I'm not atoning for any F's or anything, just trying to be an A student instead of a B one!

    currently bi-weekly elementary school volunteer (~5hrs/wk; since 09/08)
    currently member of a fundraising committee for a club (~3hrs/wk since 09/08)

    Physician shadowing (~20hrs) in pediatrics, oncology and family medicine
    4 mo organic chemistry research (~200hrs), no publications
    1 summer 2008 (~160hrs) teaching introductory organic chemistry laboratories (ochem I & II)

    Fluent in written & spoken French
    Level-something piano
    Certified personal trainer
    Scholarship recipient

    One from my english prof, and another from an MD I shadowed.
    I can obtain more from my volunteer coordinator, science professors and other MDs as needed.

    PS. I set my home state to UT because I like snowboarding there, but I live in Canada.

    *I will be applying to Canadian schools this coming fall (2009). I'm expecting rejections my first go around, so that's ok =) I haven't quite finished taking all the courses offered in undergrad that I want to anyway.
