Brief Profile:
Lots of research, decent volunteering and paid work experience in medicine. I also worked for a couple of years after college (statistics consulting). Lots of fun and unusual activities as an undergrad (I wasn't pre-med, thankfully). Since it seems to come up here sometimes, I applied for regular MD programs (i.e. not MSTP).

Summary of Application Experience
Gone well so far, but still waiting on a couple of non-rolling schools. Two tips for future applicants:
1. APPLY EARLY!! This includes getting secondaries back quickly after receiving them. I did, and it helped a lot. I know lots of people with good stats/activities/LOR's who applied very late and aren't doing as well as they should have because of it. 2. Choose your schools wisely in advance. I ended up picking a bunch of schools that had some aspects (e.g. curriculum, location, etc.) that I just hated - had I researched schools a little bit more intelligently and thought things out a little bit more deeply in the beginning, I probably could have saved a lot of time and money.
