Brief Profile:
Dean's List last 2 years (much higher GPA, around 3.9 avg, top 5%) Multi-year animal research project proposal that received NIH funding. Was the main contributor to the project (strong LOR). Gave a presentation related to this project as well. Will likely result in multiple publications. Working on Biology senior honors thesis the coming year. Another animal research project in slighly different field. A chemistry research project with online publication. A biomedical engineering research project that also will likely result in a publication. Unique volunteering activity that combines my interest in aviation with patient care. Additional, more traditional volunteer activity, in local community hospital (300+ hours). Shadowing in Neurosurgery, in outpatient, inpatient, and OR settings. Tutoring in college neurobiology courses. Leadership roles in two college competitive clubs, one of which has had strong success on national level (national awards). The other was started from scratch and is focused more on outreach with campus and community, but also aims to be competitive.
