Summary of Application Experience
5/01 - Took the MCAT! Feeling pretty good about it, but I think I choked a little in writing. Oh well! 6/01 - Got my score! 39O! Woot! Writing\'s kinda crappy but it shouldn\\\'t negatively affect my application! 6/07 - AMCAS submitted. Yikes! 6/15 - All transcripts recreived. Now I wait. 6/28 - YAY! My alma mater screwed up my transcript! Resending. 7/01 - All transcripts received... again. 7/02 - VERIFIED! 7/06 - Received secondaries from Penn and Temple. It just got WAY too real! 7/08 - Received secondary from Jefferson. 7/17 - Submitted Penn secondary. 7/21 - Submitted Temple secondary. 7/21 - AACOMAS verified! 7/22 - Submitted Jefferson secondary. 7/28 - Received PCOM secondary. 8/09 - Interview invite at Jefferson! Eeeee! 8/12 - Received Drexel secondary. 8/26 - Submitted Drexel secondary. 9/13 - Finally marked as complete at Drexel. 9/29 - Jefferson interview! I loved it there but I\'m not very happy with my interview. I think I let me nerves get the better of me. 10/01 - Temple interview invite! YAY! 10/04 - Drexel interview invite! Wow! 10/18 - High priority waitlist e-mail from Jefferson. This really hurts. I\'m hoping and praying they decide to smile on me later. 10/26 - Temple interview! I went in liking Temple and came out LOVING it! Everyone was really down to earth, chill, friendly, and enthusiastic about the school. I wasn\'t even too scared of the \'hood. I think my interviews went a lot better, too. I hope I hear something before Thanksgiving! 11/16 - Deferred at Penn. Boo! Maybe they\'ll change their mind. 11/24 - Accepted to Temple! Oh my God! Ahhhhh!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to me! 12/04 - Interviewed at Drexel. It was alright. 01/26 - Rejected by Penn. This comes as no surprise. I\'m not even the slightest bit upset about it after being accepted to Temple. I plan on bothering them in 4 years for residency, though. 02/17 - Got the acceptance letter from Drexel. Feels good, man! 03/07 - Temple wants to give me $20,000 a year! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! 03/14 - Withdrew from Drexel. I preferred Temple and was going to wait until financial aide packages went out, but after the scholarship from Temple, there was no point in waiting. 06/29 - Finally withdrew from Jefferson\'s high-priority waitlist today. I think, had I expressed interest in coming off the WL here, I would have (they really like it when you express continued interest if you\'re waitlisted here). But I hadn\'t sent an update or anything since my interview at and acceptance to Temple. I\'ve been meaning to do this for awhile, as I\'ve been set on Temple for months.
I\'m happy to consider my application cycle over. It was a wild ride! Fight fight fight for the cherry and the white!

Summary of Experience:
PCOM is a great DO school but I didn\'t want to do another secondary.
Definitely not completing secondary after Temple acceptance on 11/24/2010.
Summary of Experience:
I really liked interview day at Jefferson. It has always been my top choice for medical school and where I\'ve always pictured myself. I think this made my nerves get the better of me at my interview. \'
Update: Very very disappointed about the high-priority waitlist, but I\'m hoping I get a call in a few months.
Update: Finally withdrew from Jefferson\'s waitlist. Should have done this month\'s ago, really. Very nice school but Temple felt like home to me.
Summary of Experience:
I\'m really looking forward to interviewing at Temple. The new medical school building is gorgeous and everyone that I\'ve spoken to that\'s interviewed there so far seems to be really impressed with the school.
I went in liking Temple and came out LOVING it! The new building is great, I really like the curriculum and the fact that they have been making changes based on student feedback, and everyone was really friendly and loved the place. I hope i don\'t have to wait until after Thanksgiving for a decision!
Update: Accepted e-mail 11/24/2010!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to meeeeee!!!!!
Update again: Scholarship offer from Temple for $20,000 a year on 3/7/11!!!! OMFG! If I wasn\'t already loving Temple, there\'d be no doubt in my mind now. This is absolutely where I\'m going to go now.
Summary of Experience:
I was worried Drexel would reject me because my stats were too high, thinking I was only treating them as a fall-back. I got an interview invite so now I have to make sure that\'s not the case for me when I\'m there.
Interview day was alright. Opening information was good, but it kinda went downhill from there. Student interview was fine, but the faculty interviewer hadn\'t looked at my file at all and read my PS right in front of me. Most students didn\'t seem enthusiastic about the school at all, either. We\'ll see.
Accepted! I\'m honestly a little surprised. I think I will eventually withdraw this offer but it feels nice to feel like I have choices!
Withdrew in March after $20K/year scholarship from Temple!
