The listed GPAs reflects mediocre grades from math and physics classes way back when I did my first degree. After the first BS in computer science I worked as a programmer for a federally-funded research company and completed a Master's in the same field. Once I decided to pursue medicine I went to GMU to complete premed requirements. I ended up completing a Chemistry BS with a GPA (AO and BCPM) of 3.79.
In my first attempt I got an MCAT score of 28P and waitlisted to VCU and EVMS.
In this application cycle I started much earlier (primary confirmed 6/26) and retook the MCATs (32M). I wrote a new personal statement and stressed the maturity factor as a non-traditional applicant in the secondaries.
Good luck to everyone, especially to those non-traditional applicants out there!
