8/14/08: I originally chose my schools very broadly, hoping that one of those reach/probable schools will see something in me and give me an interview. I only need to get into 1 school!! And though there are some great schools in Ohio, I'd really like to get the heck outta here. I've had enough of Ohio for the past two years and I need a change of scenery. Please, Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have Georgetown, Yale, and U.Toledo secondaries to fill out, but I think I'm burnt out. I keep doubting myself and my qualities, whether I can get into medical school or not. This kind of negative thinking is simply disastrous, I know. College was a personally rough period (father's consecutive heart surgeries, death of my grandfather, etc.), and my GPA shows it. I wanted to make up for my GPA through my MCAT score, but my real MCAT score turned out lower than my practice scores (~35), which was a total bummer! Thankfully, I got a perfect T in writing, but I'm told that schools could care less. haha...now, I feel like I am incapable of representing myself sufficiently on paper, b/c of my not so stellar numbers. :( I keep telling myself that this is only the beginning of the race, that I must have hope! But frankly, it's much easier said than done.

Nonetheless, I'm going to keep pushing through and write the remaining secondaries. I have yet to receive Drexel and Emory secondaries. Vanderbilt's a bit unique, so it's either a rejection or an invite to secondary/interview with them. I highly doubt that I'll get an invite there. And I just added Jefferson yesterday, because I got nervous all of a sudden. Hopefully, they'll send me a secondary soon. :)

6:40PM - As expected, got a rejection letter from Vanderbilt. Gotta keep my chin up...somehow.

9/10/2008: OMGOSH! Just got a call from Wright State for an interview!!!!! amazing~~~ I've been crying for the past few minutes. Jesus truly provides...

9/16/2008: We lost electricity for a few days, which prevented me from checking my email. To my surprise, MSU had sent an interview invite!!!!!!! This is very exciting! :D I am so thankful that I've come thus far. But, the date has been scheduled so soon that I'm a bit nervous already. I need to prepare!!
