Summary of Application Experience
Applied post-graduation, took a year off to get more experience and take a break from school. Wrote personal statement and submitted primary to AMCAS 7/11/08. Studied for the MCAT for three weeks, took exam 7/18/08, very happy with a 38Q. Primary verified 8/15/08, filled out secondaries throughout August and finished in early September. Started receiving interview invitations 9/1/08. Finally complete at all schools 10/1/08.
Currently: MY APPLICATION CYCLE IS OVER! I got accepted to Penn, which is shocking/amazing/mind-blowing given my lower GPA and lack of significant clinical experiences. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity and will be attending in the fall. The financial aid package they offered me makes Penn much cheaper than any other school I was accepted to, including my state schools. Can't wait to start med school now.
