Summary of Application Experience
First of all: I was a music major for 3 years with a miserable gpa (2.8) luckily I didn't take many science courses. I had no intention of med school at this time. I finally realized I didn't know what the hell I was doing with my life so I switched to bio and transferred schools. Bio eventually led me to medicine and I've been gung ho about it ever since. I've maintained a 3.88 over 2 years and have As in all the med school prereqs. I hope schools don't look too unfavorably at my past because I'm a completely new person now.
Second of all: My school has an ass-backwards premed committee which didn't even MEET until October, and they didn't get my letter out until November which is why I am so late. In retrospect, I should have bypassed the committee and gotten individual letters /sigh.
