Brief Profile:
I've been working as an EMT for 2 years now. I graduated with an art degree and I love to scuplt. I worked in the art field after undergrad. I've been swimming since I was 8 or 9, and I helped coach the swimming and water polo teams this last year at my junior college. I'm realy big into music. At my undergrad school I was in 5 different choirs, marching band, orchestra, percussion ensemble, and several small touring vocal groups. I've tried to keep doing as much music as possible along with all the medical school pre-reqs. I took a couple of dance classes this semester just for the heck of it because I always thought it looked fun. Man dancing is hard, but I like it and hope I can keep taking classes during med-school.

Summary of Application Experience
Man, I am REALLY lucky to have been accepted anywhere this year because I messed up the entire application process SO much. I decided to go to medical school several years after receiving my bachelor's degree. I completed the medical school pre-reqs at a junior college and didn't have the benefit of a pre-med advisor/commitee to keep me on task and let me know how the whole process works. My biggest mistake was turning my secondary applications in as late as possible without them actually being late. I didn't understand the whole 'rolling' application idea. I'm sure I ended up at the bottom of every school's list of applicants solely due to the lateness of my application's arrival. So, my advise is do everything as fast as possible without compromising the quality of your application.
