Brief Profile:
I was a biochemistry major, religious studies minor.
-Graduated with my B.S. June 2008 -Worked as a supplemental workshop leader for 3 years: Basically I led review classes for general chemistry, I answered questions, wrote worksheets, wrote practice exams, whatever I could do to help my students pass -Operation Crossroads Africa: spent 2 months in Kenya doing medical related stuff -Shadowed a DO for 6 months -EMT/ER tech -4 years in the American Chemical Society club on campus: One as vp, two as secretary -2 years part of AMSA club on campus -1 year on the Student Health Advisory Council -4 years in choir -running: I\'ve done a few half-marathons, and I\'m thinking of doing a full sometime in the next couple of years -4 months of research: I wasn\'t planning on putting it on my AMCAS because it wasn\'t very long and it went nowhere. We spend most of the time I was doing it starting over because things never worked.

June 27, 2008: Submitted to AMCAS, waiting verification (Transcripts were received a few weeks prior)
July 18, 2008: AMCAS verified. Bring on the secondaries!
August 4, 2008: 15 secondaries submitted, 15 to go...(theoretically)
August 7, 2008: 20 secondaries submitted, 10 to go...
August 28, 2008: First rejection - Boston U pre-interview, :(
September 3, 2008: I got my first interview invite!!! YAY!!! :D NYMC - interview on Oct 7th! I'm super excited right now!!
September 5, 2008: Second interview: USUHS. They told me the interview would be Oct 2, but I'm asking to change to Oct 9, so I can head there after my NYMC interview.
September 13, 2008: Interview invite to USC. First Cali school to invite me to interview! :D
September 25, 2008: Interview invite to UC Irvine! I'm so excited I'm hearing from Cali schools this early! :D
October 22, 2008: I really really liked USC!! I'll have to see how my other interviews go, but right now USC is definitely my top choice :) They said I'd hear back before Thanksgiving *crosses fingers* Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so hopefully they don't ruin it... ;)
October 30, 2008: My first acceptance! USUHS! :D No matter what happens with other schools, I'm going to be a physician! YAY!
December 10, 2008: Got a letter in the mail from USC - Accepted! YAY!!!!! :D :D :D I also got one from NYMC - waitlisted; oh well, it was at the bottom of my list anyway ;)
December 19, 2008: Accepted to Temple!!! :) I really like both USC and Temple so I have no idea how I'm going to make this decision! :/
May 7, 2009: Well, finally, I have decided: USUHS here I come! :) I just felt like it was the best environment for me. I fit in with the students better than at the other schools. All three schools are very good and I would have an excellent education at any of them, so I had to go with my gut. :) Oh, and I'm going into the Navy, if anyone was wondering.
