Teaching Experience: developed and taught web-based lectures for freshman Biology 1 and 2; teaching undergraduate chemistry labs.
Research Experience: ongoing ovarian cancer biomarker research (eventual publication - major author); obesity research (senior thesis- social psychology); emotions and family interactions research (social/developmental psychology)
Volunteer Work: involved in various campus-based community service projects; outpatient surgery volunteer 1 summer.
Clinical Experience: completed many hours of shadowing in social work, clinical psychology, nursing, physician assistants, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, radiology, dosimetry, radiosurgery, clinical trial research, pathology (observed autopsy) and more.
About my GPA: I started community college in High School which brings down my overall GPA significantly. My last 3 years of coursework (well over 100 hours) have been straight A's and A+'s. If I were to recalculate my GPA without the high school year it would be a 3.90 overall.
