11/06/08: Long time since an update. I am now on two waitlists post interview. I'm on hold at 4 schools, rejected from 4 and haven't heard from 1. Still have 2 interiews coming up but I'm starting to get discouraged from the lack of good news even though I should be happy about not hearing bad news.
09/18/08: Wow, MD applicants has changed, haha. Feeling really nervous about my upcoming 1st interview. I'm just trying to go over medical ethics and review questions right now. Hopefully it goes okay!
09/04/08: Been a while since I've updated. I now have 4 interviews, 1 rejection, 2 school holds, 1 school I've yet to hear from and have not submitted for 4 schools (just too tired at this point). So I feel like that means I'm officially done with secondaries. Now just more waiting...first interview in 3 weeks!!
08/18/08: My first rejection. Not going to lie, it hurts. I wish I hadn't spent so much time with that secondary. Wish I would have got an email too. I found out via status page. Good news is I have a second interview invite - vermont. PLease someone let me in!!
07/31/08: My first interview invite!!! Soooo excited. Funny considering I was so depressed just 2 minutes before I saw it (while I was looking at SDN, haha - we've all been there). Word of advice though, check your spam mail. I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't decided to check it!!
07/24/08: I got a bunch of California ones recently! But I have to admit I'm slowing down. I have a bunch of undone applications and need to move things along.
07/21/08: I have 7 applications all waiting to be completed. Somehow I got a huge bunch at a time. Good news is that all of my letters are finally logged in my AMCAS.
07/17/08: Johns Hopkins application is a beast.
7/15/08: So I got 3 more today. I've submitted 2 already. No essays for Vermont! Lovely! My Cost of secondaries is really starting to add up though.
7/11/08: Still working on U. Chicago essays. I have gotten some more secondaries since that time. All are still automatic. I want to get one from someone who screens that way I can feel like I actually have a shot. Oh well. My letters got to AMCAS the other day!! But I made a mistake and so it doesn't show they are all there. They need to be clearer with this new system.
07/07/08: Thought I would get more done over fourth of July holiday. I'm having a lot of trouble writing the Brown and U. Chicago essays. Writer's block I guess. They are really killing me though. Did submit Yale today (haha - yeah we'll see) and got Jefferson's 2ndary but I need to figure out my SAT scores first.
07/02/08: Got secondaries to UPenn and U. Rochester today. Sent them out already. No essays!! It made me happy :) Submitted Georgetown and U.Michigan too
07/01/08: Sent out letters to Columbia and AMCAS yesterday. Received two secondaries today: georgetown and U. Michigan - neither screens.
6/30/08: Finally got verified by AMCAS this morning. Received my secondary for Columbia. Trying to submit it by tomorrow. Have to go get my passport photo and send out my letters to AMCAS today.
6/17/08: I submitted my AMCAS last night as planned. The total cost was a significant blow, I must say. Ouch.
6/11/08: As of this point I have both of my transcripts in to AMCAS and am just trying to finish up the last of my application. I plan on applying on 6/16/08. Hopefully everything is done by that point.
