Summary of Experience:
As expected, Penn was phenomenal. Every aspect of the school impressed me. My faculty interviewer was wonderful and the interview was very personal. In hindsight, I am unsure if it was too personal (whatever that means). We talked about my family and life experiences and barely discussed anything I have done after high school. I hope this will help differentiate me from all of the other (probably more impressive) applicants. Of course, I have analyzed the interview over and over and I still wonder if the connection I made was genuine or just because the interviewer was such great person to talk with. My student interview was very relaxed. The typical questions were asked (he had a list of required questions) along with some ethical situations. I was glad he really read over my application and asked specific questions that he personally was interested in or wanted more clarification. Overall, I think both interviews went well and I have no regrets. Penn is first on my list so far and I doubt this will change.
Summary of Experience:
I really enjoyed my time at Ohio State. The energy and camaraderie was impressive. The new curriculum seems great; however the faculty was not very convincing about how it is going to work exactly. I really didn’t connect with my faculty interviewer. He seemed disinterested and I couldn’t get any sign of emotion out of him (believe me I tried). Considering this was my first interview, the fault could have been my own. The student interview went very well, hopefully making up for my faculty interview. I was decision deferred, but still hoping for an acceptance.
Summary of Experience:
I thought the interview process was disorganized. The faculty interview was scheduled, although mine was an hour later than scheduled, and the student interview was whenever convenient for the interviewer. I expected to interview with the faculty first, but my student interview showed up early. Although this doesn’t really matter, it seemed the interview process was unplanned. The student interview was over lunch, hard to eat and talk, and was straight forward. The faculty interview was relaxed and straight forward as well. I wish we would have gotten to tour more than just the medical school. Regardless of the unorganized interview, Drexel is a great medical school and I would defiantly consider matriculating if I am accepted.
Summary of Experience:
I love the WVU campus location; it reminds me of where I grew up. I was surprised by the team interview and was initially a little intimidated, but the interview was very relaxed. It was a little awkward how they would take turns asking questions and there was some weird whose next moments. I got the good cop bad cop impression because one interview was constantly smiling and laughing while the other was more reserved. The typical questions were asked, but very conversational and I actually had fun talking with my interviewers. I would enjoy matriculating at WVU and think I would fit well.
