Brief Profile:
** My GPA would be an Overall -3.47 and a BCPM of 3.7, but AMCAS calculated classes i took at a community college for summer school when i was 13. No, they were not anything crazy (pre algebra classes), I just never thought that something I did in middle school would affect me so many years later - my mom didn't either (i don't blame her). hopefully this gets overlooked.
My grades were pretty poor 1st-2nd year of college because of family issues/no motivation etc... for instance... my first 2 years of college GPA ~ 3.1 same with BCPM 3rd and 4th year ~ 3.9+ both cumulative and BCPM
My decision to pursue medicine did not start until 3rd year of college and really did not manifest until my first quarter of my last year of college. I've only gotten one B+ and the rest A to A+'s in all my subsequent classes since my 2nd year of college.
My late decision shows most heavily in my EC's, many of which are not medicine related.
EC's:
Research (no publications) Volunteering at a Hospital (at the time of application probably only 70-80 or so hours) Habitat for Humanity Photography Piano Snorkeling Assistant Coached a youth basketball team Biology TA Internships in different engineering fields
nothing too spectacular.
