Summary of Application Experience
Those 7's are killing me! I did better on my practice exams. It's funny 'cause came out thinking I bombed BS and that PS and VR were okay. I debated on whether I should apply with what I have or retake in September and risk being looked at late in the game, but I couldn't find any open spots for the MCAT for the rest of the year! I was assured by my state school that I my stats meet their interview cut-off, so I'm giving it a try this year, and thought that I should apply to other schools too. If I don't get in this cycle, there's always next year. :)
I'm only applying to schools where there's family nearby, which is CA, Chicago, (not really, but I got friends there) and the east coast. Any other suggestions?
6/15 - Took the MCAT
7/16 - MCAT results. Ouch. Can't find any openings this year within 500 mi. radius of where I live.
7/24 - Submitted primary AMCAS application, ready for review (last transcript received 6/4)
8/13 - AMCAS verified
8/14 - Preprofessional committee interview
10/31 - UNSOM Interview. Had a great time!
3/14 - Stuck in limbo. I'm waitlisted for interview at UCLA PRIME and on interview hold in Loyola and RFU. Drexel has given me the silent treatment since September. Gearing up for the MCAT in June and reapplying if everything does not work out for me this cycle.
