Summary of Application Experience
I am so incredibly excited to be going to Northwestern! I love everything about this school. I literally begged them to let me in and I'm so happy it worked!!
A few random notes: -Don't underestimate how draining this process can be, both emotionally and financially. -I don't know if it was worth it or not to go into this process with a low MCAT score. -I worked my butt off as an undergrad, but wish I had known how many really competitive kids take time off after graduation (and I could have retaken the mcat). (REMEMBER to look at 'average age of matriculation' at any given schoool. some will surprise you.) -APPLY EARLY. APPLY EARLY. APPLY EARLY. -If you're a research-oriented kid, you're going to be more attractive to research-oriented schools. -If you don't see yourself actually going to your backup schools, DON'T APPLY TO THEM. I made a serious mistake with this one. -Make sure you have friends around to support you through all of this! I don't think I would have survived without mine!
