09/08/07 MCAT scores in. Bummer. I can't bring myself to think about retaking (again)... Will try to move forward with these.
09/08/07: AMCAS finally verified. They're not counting my summer grades..that definitely hurts. New BCPM: 2.93, AO: 3.48, OA: 3.23.

9/18/07 First secondaries non-screeners trickling in. My goal is 3 days for each to get sent back out.

9/20/07...got the go ahead from u of miami! got u of arkansas in snail mail today. got another from u of south fl! sent out LOI to umkc and letter to continue to MU (oos applicant).

9/21/07...Vandy and Pritzker! What is taking AACOM so long???! STILL not verified.

9/24/07...got Rosalind Franklin, KU, and Albert Einstein! Got U of Arkansas, Howard, and GWU out in priority mail today.

9/25/07...got USC, Rush, and Albany seconds. Starting to drown in all the essays...feeling. a little. overwhelmed. Back to writing...

9/26/07... Got the 'screening' email from UCLA, got a second from Feinberg, and FINALLY got my AACOMAS app verfied. My stats are much better with them: BCPM GPA: 3.119, AO: 3.424, OA: 3.289. These are different enough in science GPA I'm wondering if I should have AMCAS re-check my grades... now I can add all the DO schools to my pile of applications!

9/30/07: Just finished KU's. That was incredibly long. At least it was free!

10/2/07: I'm finally being able to use more than a couple of sentences over again instead of having to construct entirely new essays; moving faster! Got Tufts, MU, and SUNY Downstate done today. Rejected from UMKC. Oh well. I hear the MD-only as well as the 6 yr program are falling apart.

10/8/07: Feel like I'm getting the hang of getting these apps out faster. Wish I would have opened up more initially to find the ones that don't have essays! Still under the two week mark for all of them though. Mail doesn't run today, so that's messing up my routine!

10/10/07: Gettin a slow stream of rejections. Always a downer. Working on getting the last ones out!! Still haven't heard a word from Loyola, KCUMB, or Touro-Mare Island. Wonder what's taking so long...

10/18/07: losing all interest in completing 5 remaining apps. i knew this day would come. i am going to try and get them all done by the weekend though. that's two days. doing all of these at once put me behind in my (HARD) immunology class. ahhhh. i'm almost to the waiting game. starting to hear crickets. ;)...and dare i say it, considering the jan mcat. can you send that as an update letter!??

10/22: Definitely hearing the crickets. Rej'd from Loyola. Oh well. Final at most schools. 4 apps still need completing. Ugh.

10/23: 3. more. applications. Rejt'd from MU. Even though i lived in Missouri for 12 YEARS. grrrr. I'm a jayhawk anyway. ;(

10/29: 2 more apps. can't find motivation to finish. strongly considering jan mcat now. dammit.

11/2: I stil haven't finished the apps. 25th bday came and went. And I'm getting very scared that I won't be in medical school for the 26th. Got rejected from LECOM-Erie today. Also got an email saying my file was complete for the MD program at NEOUCOM, after having received a REJECTION in late sept from them. What??! Registered for Jan MCAT. My only hope I'm afraid.

11/6: rej'd from CCOM and georgetown yesterday. really worrying now.

11/13: Rej'd from LECOM-bradenton. Dammit. FREAKING OUT!

11/15: Rej'd from Pritzker. Added Touro-Harlem, LMU, and UNECOM to the DO list. Harlem only sends secondaries to interviewees, so just a waiting game. Will get LMU's off in tomorrow's mail.

11/26: Rejected from SUNY. Complete at LMU?

11/29: Crickets and rejection letter(s).

12/5: OH MY GOD! AN INTERVIEW INVITE TO DCOM!!!! I've never been more excited in my life. One step closer to my dream!!!! Also, invitation to UCLA PRIME program. Will look into that... Hooray!!!

12/11: Immunology final done. 2 more! One already cancelled because of this horrendous ice storm. Meh. Sending out more LOIs to all the schools who have been MIA since OCTOBER. Come on December 14th.... Looking forward to my interview!

12/18: Found out I got an A in Immunology! That, along with my other 2 classes means I got a 4.0 while working full time! I'm so excited! Things are really looking up. Looking very forward to my interview at DCOM!

1/18: Had a FANTASTIC time at DCOM. Tricky interview...found out after they were testing me 'under pressure.' Didn't practice for that scenario! Loved the students, facilities, and faculty. Can't believe how genuine and welcoming it all felt. I'd be lucky to get in here. No word from other schools. Still on hold at AZCOM and KCUMB... Sit and wait. Keep your fingers crossed on DCOM for me!! I've decided against the Jan MCAT. Too late for a refund, but I don't want to take it this unprepared. It could be this decision hurts me with schools looking for a new MCAT score... but I just couldn't do it.

1/24: Got the call from Dr. Stowers yesterday! I'm going to be a DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2/21: Finally got my AACOM app updated with my fall grades.*** I saw this on another MDapps page..so make sure you do this!***** No word from any schools lately..... are they still considering me?! Got the KCOM secondary. Still haven't filled it out, or the UNECOM. No news is good news??! New grades: 3.192 science, 3.443 non science, 3.329 overall. Post-bacc: 3.722!

3/10: Waiting on a phone call from Dev at NOVA. Please have good news! Still sitting on KCOM and UNECOM apps. No motivation. Big OCHEMII test. My motivation to study this semester is dwindling to say the least. I'm so ready to be in medical school and studying applicable information!
