Summary of Application Experience
Any comments are welcome. I take the MCAT on June 15 so I will update when I get my scores. Although if they can be considered any indication my practice scores have been from 31-33.
I know I am not applying to that many schools but I don't want to apply anywhere that I realistically wouldn't go. Any suggestions on other schools to apply to are welcome. I would really like to stay in the south though. My two 'reach' schools are Duke and Vandy. Vandy is definetly my top choice.
7/9 Finally got AMCAS filled out waiting to be verified.
7/17 Finally got all of the people I asked to submit their letters of recommendation to interfolio. Apparently when I asked them if they could get the letters done by July that meant take your sweet time and submit them whenever you feel like and in the mean time don't return any of my emails or phone calls. Thats cool though its only the rest of my life. I guess it dosen't matter though they are all in and my application still isn't verified.
7/18 Got my MCAT scores back today. I'm satisfied. I feel like I could have done better and fell somewhat screwed by the malfunction that made me wait an hour to start taking my test but whatever.
Apparently people think I should apply outside of the south and while I can see what their point I am not going to take their advice. Because I have a thing for southern girls and it is now too late.
9/20 Interviewed at UASOM. I love this school. Everyone was extremly friendly. The current medical students would come up and ask you how your interview was going and if you had any questions. I was blown away by the size of the medical complex there. Also the hot undergrad girls that seemed to be wandering around won't hurt my decision either.
10/22 Received interview invite to South Alabama for 9/7. Its about freaking time I heard back from them.
