    Summary of Application Experience

Took the much given advice of putting in everything ASAP. Initially, I was nervous because from reading other profiles it seems so random to get in anywhere.

8/7/06- Finished all secondaries except Emory, John Hpkins, and Drexel. Never got those. Waiting on my letters to arrive. Waiting sucks ass.

8/21/06- Just finished last secondaries last week. Oh yea, I received an interview invitation from Jefferson. Luckily I checked my spam mail because that was where the email was. Happy about the interview though, its a really good school and in my hometown.

9/12/06- Wow, just got an interview at Johns Hopkins. Thats crazy. Really wasnt expecting that, but Im there. Its scheduled for this month, Sept 29. People are telling me good things about that. Im just excited and nervous. Hopkins! My first interview. Wow. Thank God.

9/25/06- Ok, 6 out of 9 schools have granted me interviews so far. Still waitin on Penn, Columbia, and Einstein. So far I have: Hopkins, Emory, Jefferson, Temple, Drexel, and New York Med. Excited, but wish I could just skip them. Happy though and thankful.

10/15/06- Offered interviews at each school. canceled the one at Einstein, just wasnt feeling it. Hopkins and Emory are my favorites so far. Jefferson was ok, but I think I want to go away now. Interview process is very draining. Looking forward to Columbia next week and Penn.

5/2/07- This is crazy, somewhat unexpected. Im blessed, thank God. Right now im torn between Emory(which I really loved) and UPenn (scholarship). I've always wanted to go to Penn but once I started seeing other schools, that changed a bit. Hopkins is out, I think. Wasnt able to go to the revisit due to a broken leg. (Jet skiing in cancun right after Emory revisit) Emory hasnt offered much aid though, not enough grant money. So, Im dont know what to do yet. Any suggestions???

10/24/06- First acceptance just came in, Jefferson Med. Thats kool, beacause now I know that if worst comes to worst, I will be a medical student next year. Columbia was okay. Penn is tommorrow, not the least bit nervous anymore, feelin like an interview vet.

11/2/06- Okay, Im blessed/lucky/etc. Just got accepted into Emory and Johns Hopkins. I really liked those two, and can't wait until the revisit. Thank you God. I was getting nervous about Hopkins because I hadnt heard from them and they have rolling. But, I got the call yesterday while I was shadowing in the MICU at the hospital yesterday. My numbers were not that high for them, but they loved my research and activities and both interviews went so well. Emory I loved too. Its gorgeous and the students are great. So, I have 2 out of my three dream schools so far. Waitin to see if Penn can make it three in March. Those years in the library studying for high grades and the MCAT have so paid off.

2/6/07- Got a letter form Columbia, Im in. OK.

5/11/07- Been awhile since my last update, got into Penn, so its between Penn, Emory and Hopkins. Only revisited at Emory, due to a broken leg(sucks). Loved it. But financial aid wasnt that great. Always dreamed about going to Penn, now I can make it reality. Penn Med Class of 2011, im feelin it. Good luck to you all. Trust God and work hard because thats how he rewards you. Apply early as possible too, dont slack.
