1 Year working (paid-24 hour shifts) as an EMT-B on Ambulance. 2 Quarters as an Undergraduate TA for Biology course 1 Quarter as a CLAS group genetics tutor. 2 Summers working full-time as a patient transporter in a large hospital. Undergraduate Neuro research for the last 6 months and continuing through this summer and next year. Presented a poster at an Undergrad. colloquium on our neuro research. Member of the undergraduate student health insurance program board. Partially responsible for determining the student health insurance plan (please don't hate me) Volunteered as a Little League Baseball Coach for one season (fun and huge job) Volunteered for approx. 50 hours at a local free clinic (will do again this summer) Volunteered as a chemistry demonstrator to young children over the last few years I will be a Resident Assistant for the 2006-2007 school year. I am a member of a fraternity (should I include this?) Member of Phi Beta Kappa, etc. Dean's Honor List for the last 7 straight quarters. Member of normal pre-med stuff (health professions assoc, etc.)

These were my stats when I applied... obviously they will have changed a little bit.
Got into KU early in the game (11/21). Didn't want to fly anywhere East of there, so I have withdrawn from nearly every other school.
Apply early, get your stuff in on time, and just be yourself. It's not a crap-shoot, there is definitely a methodology to who gets accepted.
