Summary of Application Experience
April 2004 -- Bad MCAT, Interview 2004 -- Interviewed and waitlisted... waited until August 2005 to retake, good score, but no interviews because October is a million years from applying in August.
Sell your soul to the MCAT (limit friends, video games, tv... whatever distracts you), and get a good score the first time. Applying late has really hurt my chances to get into alot of schools I feel (this is talking with some interviewers as well). I consider myself a very good candidate (if you like kansas public schooling), but places like the medical college of wisconsin and creighton didn't interview me even though, frankly, I'm as exceptional as their other students because I have a late start. And regardless of how things are going, if you have the slightest doubt you may not get in, take the MCAT again in April and DONT wait until you get the waitlist/rejection letters in March to study for the MCAT again.
