07/21/05-AACOMAS sent application to the schools. Judging from comments on SDN, submitting one week earlier would have probably resulted in a one week verification time at AACOMAS as opposed to my 3 weeks.

    09/13/05-Snail mail for UMDNJ-SOM interview, scheduled 10/19/05. :)
09/13/05-Withdrawing from KCUMB interview. I had rescheduled a while back for 10/19/05 and the costs are adding up quick for applications, secondaries, interviews, and time away from school - especially when I didn't expect this much activity from the schools. With no acceptance yet in hand for a school, I hope I won't regret this. :( I'm currently waiting on the letter from WUHS to inform me of their decision. Statistical odds are in my favor, but I'm scrutinizing my 30 minute interview and really don't know what they'll decide - adding to the *fun* of the whole process. Naturally, I'm hoping for an acceptance and if all goes as planned with the other schools I know I will have an extremely difficult decision ahead of me regarding which to choose.
09/27/05-Email for DMU interview, scheduled 10/29/05 in Portland, OR. :)
09/28/05-UNECOM interview rescheduled to 11/19/05 due to transportation conflicts and school schedule.
10/06/05-Called WUHS to find out about letter of committee decision which hadn't arrived. Was informed I had been accepted and letter was sent 9/23/05, but will be resent. It hasn't soaked in yet, and I'm sure it will. :)
10/10/05-Official letter of acceptance arrived from WUHS. :) I'm now going to let the schools know I have yet to send secondaries to and am less interested in, that I am withdrawing. I will proceed to interview with UMDNJ-SOM, DMU, and KCOM. WUHS, KCOM, DMU, and UMDNJ-SOM are my top choices.
    10/19/05-Planes SUCK.
10/20/05-Phone call from KCOM revealing acceptance. :)
    10/22/05-Withdrew from UNECOM preinterview.
10/30/05-I am finished with interviewing!!! Now I can sit back and wait for decisions from UMDNJ-SOM and DMU. By the end of November I will know where I will be going. Then time to worry about financial aid, finishing school, taxes, money to relocate, etc... :(
11/11/05-Email from DMU revealing acceptance. :)
11/15/05-Well, UMDNJ-SOM had their monthly meeting yesterday and I didn't receive a phone call, so I'm assuming a rejection. However, the official correspondence will arrive by mail here soon. Soon as time permits I'm going to have to sit down and scrutinize each school and make my choice.
11/18/05-Received the official acceptance packet from DMU a few days earlier and KCOM today. I also declined the seat offer from WUHS today. I'm that much closer to officially deciding.
11/21/05-The letter finally arrived from UMDNJ-SOM. It wasn't an acceptance, but an alternate list. I thought the climax was about to reveal itself for this story, but an intersting twist interjected... Now, I need to figure out how far I'll ride out an alternate list if at all. Hmmmm...
12/06/05-WOW! I just made the first deposit to reserve a seat for DMU and it has been one hard time to choose between DMU and KCOM for which to reserve. I hope I don't regret this. Now, I need to let KCOM know and decide if I wish to play the wait list game with UMDNJ-SOM.
12/13/05-Called/emailed KCOM my decision to decline their offer of acceptance.
01/12/05-I have decided to commit 100% to DMU and I am withdrawing from the UMDNJ-SOM alternate list. DMU class of 2010 here I come! :)

    Random details:
    Finished undergrad with 3.700GPA, 3.989 Non-science, 3.492 Science

GPA blemishes with C's in OchemI, Parasitology, and Prokaryotic Molecular Biology

Spent $1,895.64 on the above and $1,000.00 for seat deposit

Keep your chin up - after the first interview you'll freak out, not much you can do about it - apply early - you have to be proactive during this process, and always be courteous - every school has negatives, so find the one with the fewest negatives for YOU - DON'T fly across country for interview and arrive the morning of, then turn around and fly out that evening, the time change and a screaming baby behind you will make you a zombie in your interview (not good) - be happy and energetic in interviews, BE HAPPY - Best of luck!
