Was bummed to not a get secondary but I never assumed I would be competitive for UCSD. I felt obligated to apply to all CA schools and appreciate saving the secondary fee.
The rejection doesn't sting much seeing as it was preceded by my acceptance at UTHSCSA.
Summary of Experience:
Assuming rejection due to no secondary received by November.
Finally rejected by email this evening. We really liked Nashville on our visit, but Vanderbilt seems to screen for a certain applicant, which I am not.
Summary of Experience:
Assuming rejection due to no secondary received by November.
Rejected by the one state school I thought might give me a chance. Would be more sad if I didn't already assume this and I did not have some acceptances I like better.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew with AZCOM acceptance.
I held off on doing this secondary as I was not sure the school was the right fit for me. I should have not sent a primary, and I opted out as the curriculum is not for me.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew with AZCOM acceptance.
This was another school that I hesitated to send my primary to. I should have opted not to, but I ultimately elected to not complete the secondary after receiving it. Formally withdrew after my first acceptance.
Summary of Experience:
Tulane was low-yield, but I heard they had a reputation for taking people with my type of application. I guess my GPA was just a little too low with their volume of apps.
I will visit NOLA as a tourist in the future anyways!
Summary of Experience:
Pretty sad to get this rejection, but it was expected. I applied to UCSF because I love the city, but I knew the caliber of the applicant pool. I appreciated just receiving the secondary!
Summary of Experience:
Hold email received on 9/2.
Rejected via email. This was a school I thought I had an actual shot at, so it stings a little, but following the hold it was expected. I already interviewed at Phoenix though, which is my preferred UA location!
Withdrawing my application for my local DO school after receiving offers at schools I prefer. Western had the advantage of being close to home, but I would not attend over my other acceptances.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrawing with Iowa and UTHSCSA acceptances.
This was likely my top choice DO school aside from TCOM, due to location. I would not attend over my recent acceptances so withdrawing to save money. Sorry NorCal!
Summary of Experience:
Withdrawing with Iowa and UTHSCSA acceptances.
I would not attend this school over my recent acceptances, so withdrawing before my interview to save money. I also was not sure if I would attend over AZCOM, but kept interview until I had a higher preference acceptance.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrawing due to Iowa and UTHSCSA acceptances. I held off on withdrawing as I was seriously considering attending this school. The Denver metro is very nice - I got to see the area when interviewing at RVU. The final straw for withdrawing is the OOS COA and the fact that I would likely not be able to get IS tuiton at any point. The COL in the area is also significantly higher than Iowa or San Antonio. I got altitude sickness in Denver anyways. :)
Summary of Experience:
Interview offer after a long period of silence! Need to decide if I want to go, and soon.
It was hard to withdraw from Dartmouth, as it seems like a great program. At this point in the cycle though, I am not confident I would attend over a couple other acceptances I have. If it wasn't so far and scheduled during an already-purchased trip, I would consider attending.
Submitted this add-on application for free prior to any MD acceptances. It looks like a great program to be developed, but I prefer the schools I have been accepted to. If it was easy travel, I would visit to check it out, but it's a pretty long trip. Withdrew my application today.
Summary of Experience:
I sort of forgot about this school because it took more then six months to receive a decision after interviewing. Would not have attended over other Texas options.
Summary of Experience:
In regards to just DO schools, TCOM was at the top of my list. Not sure where I rank this school exactly, but I enjoyed my visit.
Accepted today via portal, weird! I thought for sure I was waitlisted.
Withdrawing early from here. I have no incentive to hold on to DO spots and hopefully this will free up a seat for someone. I really thought Fort Worth was an awesome place, but I have some concerns that will prevent me from attending TCOM. This is my last DO withdrawal!
Summary of Experience:
11/16 Received a deferred decision email, will be placed into 11/25 decision pool.
11/25 Deferred decision to 12/14.
Accepted in my final round! This will be a tough decision.
Withdrawing before receiving financial aid data. An email went out that reinforced the fact that grants are not given out to incoming students and OOS tuition is quite expensive. I liked the school, but the focus on technology and some accreditation concerns make it not the correct choice for me.
